The Dobermann is a German breed of medium-large working dog of pinscher type. It was originally bred in Thuringia in about 1890 by Louis Dobermann, a tax collector. Dobermans  are known to have willingness to please their owners, high energy levels, affectionate nature, loyalty, and obedience. Dobermans form strong bonds with their families and can be prone to separation anxiety if they are left alone for extended periods of time.

Dobermans has a reputation as royalty and a great family dog but . a well-conditioned Doberman on patrol will deter all but the most foolish intruder.
